Wisconsin Space Academy 2008 registration is open! Wisconsin Space Academy is the Barlow Planetarium's summer camp, where cadets learn about astronomy and rocketry in a week-long, half-day camp. Cadets create and present their own planetarium show as well as launch rockets that they build during the camp! WSA is designed for students entering grades 4 through 7. Some children entering grade 3 do well in the camp...each child is unique, so we let parents decide when a child is ready to take on their first mission. |

...in the laboratory, Each level presents new challenges and different activities, including telescope observations, computer activities, simulated space missions & more!. Each session makes their own planetarium show, which is presented in the Barlow Planetarium on Family Night! Some kids do one camp in a summer; others may do as many as three WSA sessions in one summer! Learning about astronomy and space exploration is exciting, so to make it affordable, too, we offer discounts for kids doing more than one session--also, the discount applies to siblings registering in the same summer. We also have some need-based scholarships. Please contact us for an application form after March 1st. Thank you! |
